Adara Totino is a Brooklyn-born actor who received her MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School. She works across theatre and on-camera, with recent roles including Code Switch, Sleeping Mother, and the off- Broadway premiere of Retrospective, later staged in London. She is known for grounded, emotionally resonant performances with room for wit and a spark of edge. She continues to train and develop new work in New York and is drawn to characters navigating transformation, resilience and unexpected humor.

Recent on-screen credits include: Mother in Sleeping Mother, a short that screened at Film @ Lincoln Center Fall 2025 (filmlinc.org); Selena in tv pilot Witch Amiss, a semi-finalist in the B!TCHFest LA screenwriters competition; Taryn in the short Code Switch, an official selection at the Big Apple Film Festival, Indie Short Festival, Red Movie Awards, indienight, and was part of the Essence Film Fest Pitch-athon (hosted by Morris Chestnut). Stage highlights include: working with playwright Edward Allan Baker and Fulbright Scholar & Director Brian Rhinehart as Dolores in Dolores (ASDS Repertory), a story of 2 sisters drawn together by domestic violence; working with playwright Cyn Cooper in her I Was a Stranger Too (finalist for The Jewish Plays Project 2022) as Polina, a queer Russian emigre fleeing persecution.

Training includes: LCT: Open Stages, a non-for-profit designed to acquaint NYC public school kids to theatre through acting, playwriting and movement classes (as a teen); BA as a double major in English Literature and Italian Studies at NYU; MFA at the Actor's Studio Drama School, studying under luminaries such as Elizabeth Kemp (coach to Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman), Susan Aston (coach to James Gandolfini) and Broadway coach Louis Colaianni; recently at The Barrow Group (alums include Anne Hathaway, Tony Hale).
